Behind the Mission
Spotlighting the nonprofits we’re proud to call clients.
There’s a moment that happens in every conversation we have with a nonprofit founder — a moment where you can hear the fire behind their words. It’s the moment they stop talking about paperwork and start talking about why. Why they decided to build something from the ground up. Why they stayed up late filing documents and navigating compliance requirements. Why none of that mattered, because the mission was bigger than all of it.
We love this work because we believe that the people doing the most important work in our communities shouldn’t have to do it alone. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside extraordinary organizations that are creating lasting impact in their communities.
Today, we’re excited to introduce one of them.
Meet Angela Richardson-Brown & renewHER Campus
We recently sat down with Angela Richardson-Brown, Founder & CEO of renewHER Campus, for one of our nonprofit spotlight conversations.
Angela’s mission was born while teaching financial literacy to women participating in a re-entry program at the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office. What began as an opportunity to serve quickly became something more — a realization that there was a deeper need, and an opportunity to create lasting impact.
Today, renewHER Campus exists to support women through financial literacy, workforce development, education, housing support, parenting resources, and practical life skills.
